In January 2020 Green Park we commissioned to help the London Borough of Camden recruit their next Director of Adult Social Care after an open selection process. We ran a rigorous, national search and the council made an appointment (Jess McGregor) at the first attempt.
A few months later, at the start of lockdown the council then approached us to help them recruit their new Chief Digital and Information Officer and a Director of Environment, Regeneration and Investment. Both of these positions were critical in ensuring that Camden continued to be a pioneering and progressive organisation in the face of unprecedented pressures across all it’s public service delivery areas due to the pandemic. Both positions were successfully appointed to but the CDIO campaign was particularly exciting. In the end we appointed Tariq Khan, who used to be VP at Coty one of the world’s largest beauty conglomerates owning cosmetic, fragrance & hair brands such as Max Factor, Gucci, Ghd, Kylie Jenner, Rimmel, Burberry, Wella, Philosophy and Boss. He has recently won a whole series of awards including ‘Webbies’ known as the Oscar’s of the internet and is now going to be helping deliver world beating technology to residents and businesses in Camden. He also happens to be their first ethnic minority chief officer in that role.
We then went on to help the council appoint their new Director of Finance and most recently their new Director of Children’s Social Work and Safeguarding.
We are now about to start the campaign to help them recruit their new Director of Public Health.
