The 2016 business case ‘Modernising Local Government in Buckinghamshire’ set out the ambition for a single council for Buckinghamshire, and in March 2019 the Government announced the decision to replace Buckinghamshire’s County Council and the four district councils with a brand-new county wide unitary council.
