RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY GREEN PARK PLEDGES TO PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY CANDIDATE PLACEMENT

Following the executive recruiter’s inclusion on the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100, ranking Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing sales, Green Park have pledged to plant a tree for every leader they place throughout 2020.

Each year, London’s trees remove 2.4 million tons of air pollution including carbon dioxide, dust and other gaseous toxins. Partnering with UK Charity Trees for Cities, Green Park intend to mitigate their carbon footprint and future-proof their environment, making our towns and cities greener and more resilient places for future generations.

Trees for Cities are the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. To date, Trees for Cities have planted over one million trees in towns and cities across the UK as well as abroad.

The plant a tree initiative begins Green Park’s five-year overall commitment to supporting positive social and environmental impact, which also includes a pledge to increase the number of diverse leaders Green Park place on Boards from one every eight days to one every day by the year 2025.

Co-founder and CEO of Green Park, Raj Tulsiani, comments: “Our decision to support Trees for Cities stems from our drive to create a better tomorrow. We’re committed to future proofing businesses by providing diverse and highly capable leaders who can guide them to success in the coming years. Now, we have the chance to future proof our environment too, by planting a tree for every leader we place, both permanent and interim.”

“This year, we have more opportunities than ever to be a force for good within the wider world. 2019 has been another fantastic year for the business, with all sorts of milestones achieved – not least our inclusion on the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 and placement of a Diverse Leader on to a board every 8 days. We want to be a responsible business that plays an active role in improving society and the world around us. As our revenue and profile rise, we’re giving back by growing trees as well as our bottom line.”

Rory Field, Corporate Partnerships Director at Trees for Cities, comments: “We are thrilled to be working with Green Park and to be the trusted partner for their ‘Plant a Tree’ initiative. We strongly believe that what’s right for the environment and what’s right for business should go hand in hand. Green Park are demonstrating that they have their finger on the pulse by incorporating sustainability into their business plan and, as such, are a great fit for us as an environmental charity.”
