2018 was a fantastic year for Raj Tulsiani, with the Green Park founder and CEO winning a clutch of international awards. But 2019 could be even better – and it’s off to a great start. With a Recruiter Awards nomination for Agency Recruitment Leader of the Year, Raj’s personal achievements are being recognised at the industry’s highest level.

The nomination is one of three that Green Park has received for the Recruiter Awards this year and we’re thrilled to be included in the honours, which are widely regarded as one of the largest recruitment awards events in the UK.

Raj has led the business from a challenger brand to one of Europe’s fastest growing suppliers of interim management and executive search solutions. With a 20% increase in team growth and turnover jumping 39% in 2018, Green Park was recently ranked as the third highest growth firm in the Recruiter Fast 50 and recognised by the FT as one of the 1000 fastest growing companies in Europe. But, it’s not just Green Park’s financial results that’s helped Raj earn this nomination.

The vision behind the drive

Raj’s vision is to challenge industry norms with innovation and passion. He believes recruiters should be more proactive in helping to improve organisations by getting them to think differently about talent. He wants them to attract, retain and develop the best people for their journey, irrespective of their background or social grouping. This is born from his understanding that diversity breeds new ideas, approaches and innovations. Driven by this ethos, Raj Tulsiani has made it his mission to raise standards and challenge bias across the industry, fostering diversity of thought in businesses.

A growing influence in the Diversity & Inclusion arena

In twelve years, Raj has established Green Park as the UK’s leading organisation in diversity recruitment. A credible & recognised diversity champion, he actively campaigns and advises on workforce diversity, challenging and advising the cultures of some of the UK’s leading organisations. He has also lobbied for legislative change, acting in an advisory role to landmark Government-backed reviews including the Parker Review, the Davies Review and the McGregor-Smith Review. Under his leadership, Green Park has won a number of major Diversity & Inclusion awards.

Within Green Park, Raj has been an equally strong force for improvement, achieving ISO accreditations for quality and environmental standards, boosting efficiency and expanding Green Park’s capability in line with the evolving needs of its clients. This includes the development of Green Park’s People Solutions Practice which was founded in 2016 to provide Green Park’s client with a flexible and consultative solution to talent attraction, retention and process management. Such market innovations have received national recognition, with Green Park being named at nine industry awards in the last year.

Within Green Park, Raj has focused on building an inclusive, collaborative culture, introducing a raft of measures designed to support the workforce. From open floor policies to create a transparent work environment, to revamped benefits, Raj has committed himself to ensuring his team’s wellbeing and rewards for living the values.

With this string of achievements, the judges at the Recruiter Awards have plenty of food for thought. They’ll be announcing their decision on Awards night: 9th May. Best of luck to Raj.
