Buckinghamshire Council
The 2016 business case ‘Modernising Local Government in Buckinghamshire’ set out the ambition for a single council for Buckinghamshire, and in March 2019 the Government announced the decision to replace Buckinghamshire’s County Council and the four district councils with a brand-new county wide unitary council.
Green Park was commissioned to work with the Chief Executive, Rachael Shimmin, the Leader, Cllr Martin Tett, and the shadow cabinet on a series of senior positions across all directorates. These posts included:
- Deputy Chief Executive
- Corporate Director of Resources
- Corporate Director of Planning, Growth & Economy
- Corporate Director of Communities & Housing
- Service Director of Finance (s151 officer)
- Service Director of Education (Children’s Services)
- Service Director of Legal & Democratic Services
