Nicola is a diversity and inclusion professional with a background in the retail and legal sectors where she developed and implemented long-lasting and inspiring change in diversity and inclusion. Joining Green Park in 2018, Nicola is a Director in Green Park’s Diversity & Inclusion Consultancy Practice.
Prior to this, Nicola was a senior leader in the John Lewis Partnership having joined them as a graduate. She ran large stores for Waitrose and managed the organisation’s employee insight and the engagement survey before assuming the company’s first dedicated position for diversity and inclusion.
During this time, Nicola worked with the boards and senior management of the company to design its strategy and grow the employee-led diversity networks alongside creating the organisation’s D&I movement; “Bring Yourself To Work”. It was for her work in this role that Nicola received the 2017 Chairman’s Award for Excellence for the trust, empowerment and engagement she created across the company, and the lasting legacy she left for diversity and inclusion.
Nicola also spent time in the legal sector working for Eversheds Sutherland LLP as their senior diversity and inclusion leader where she designed their D&I strategy across the employee lifecycle. Nicola has been interviewed and spoken publicly about her experience in the field of D&I and about mental health.
Nicola has a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication from Birkbeck University and wrote her thesis on Cultural Intelligence (CQ) providing her with invaluable expertise in the field of culture. She has a CIPD Level 7 (Master’s Level) in Employee Engagement and is a coach recognised by International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited training.
