In many ways, the coronavirus crisis has been a wake-up call for businesses. Before the pandemic, organisations were slowly embracing inclusivity and acknowledging its benefits. Now, it’s clear that inclusivity is critical for workers’ wellbeing. Without it, they risk worsening mental health which can negatively impact all aspects of a person’s life.

Like many organisations, Green Park has moved to a work from home model and had to adapt quickly to ensure business continuation for our customers and the safety of our employees. As we adjust to life in lockdown, we have experienced ups and downs, good days and bad days - some as a collective, but mostly as individuals. This can be especially lonely when we don’t have friends and loved ones around us, or the benefits of our usual routines or activities to relieve tension or keep ourselves mentally on track.

I am therefore very pleased to have teamed up with mental health experts, Dont Mind Group, to bring Green Park’s employees and VIP network Green Park Well-being+, a resource for “whole of soul” well-being – at a time that many of us need it most.

The core of the app is the bespoke algorithm that accurately calculates your current state of wellbeing, while other features include: interesting and educational well-being articles; mindfulness image galleries and videos; guided meditations and physically enhancing routines; a safe and moderated conversation forum and the ability to book sessions with qualified therapists.

I feel it is important to note that Green Park has no monetary gain from this app, nor will we have any access to any data generated on this platform. Instead we are placing you in the safe and very capable hands of our friends at Dont Mind Group who have been providing therapy services for over 20 years and whose mission is to relieve and remove mental health issues for people around the World, no matter of their age, background, financial standing or history.

We are launching our Green Park Well-being+ app during Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, the theme of which is kindness. Never have I felt this to be so important. I hope that if we take one thing away from this pandemic, it is to continue asking ‘How are you?’ and really meaning it.
