Green Park, one of Europe’s fastest growing executive search and interim management consultancies, has been awarded a contract by the Houses of Parliament to recruit candidates for the Palace of Westminster Restoration and Renewal Sponsor Board.  Green Park has been tasked with identifying suitable candidates for four external Non-Executives and a Chair.

The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme has been established to tackle the significant work that is needed to protect and preserve the heritage of the Palace of Westminster and ensure it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century. The Sponsor Board will consist of approximately a dozen members and will include a mixture of parliamentarians and five externally recruited Board members, including the Board’s Chair.

The Sponsor Board will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the programme for the preservation and restoration of the Palace of Westminster, providing leadership and strong governance, liaising with parliamentarians and other stakeholders.

Andrea Trainer, Partner, Public Sector practice at Green Park, commented: “We are delighted to have been appointed to this historic mandate, as the Sponsor Board will have a crucial role in preserving the fabric of the UK’s democracy.  Our ability to identify highly credible and experienced candidates from the widest and most diverse talent pools is a reason why we have a well-deserved reputation for our work in supporting our clients build truly exceptional and diverse Boards.
