Improving Social Mobility: What's Going Well, Where Are the Pain Points & What Needs to Get Measured
Green Park's first inaugural Global Talent Conference was held 20-21 September 2023 with the objective of helping managers improve their capability in the talent space.
This session featured Paula Kemp, Head of Employer Engagement at the Social Mobility Commission. The Commission's aim is to ensure that one's background does not determine one’s future. The Commission has recently published a "State of the Nation" report, which analyses social mobility across 41 regions in the UK, and various characteristics including gender, ethnicity, and disability in relation to educational outcomes and social mobility.
