Historically, Private Equity is an industry that has been slow to embrace progress in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), but that could be about to change. Louis Rado, a Director within Green Park’s Private Sector Practice, is connecting clients with fresh, diverse talent – leaders who have the perspectives and innovation to help organisations thrive. Supported by our DICE Consultancy and Dan Richards, Lead Partner for the Board Practice, Louis is bringing Diversity and Inclusion to boardrooms across the UK.

Part of the team since January 2023, Louis was a natural fit for Green Park. As well as an affinity with the business’s values, he has a wealth of industry expertise to offer clients and candidates alike. Louis’ knowledge stems from seven years of partnering mainly Private Equity-based organisations, including those going through change and transformation. With each successful assignment, he has established himself further, recruiting for Chair, Non-Executive Director and Advisory roles; C-Suite, Technology and Digital posts; and senior Transformation positions.

Today, clients are getting the benefits of this outstanding track record through Louis’s expert advice, industry insight and diverse network. Currently, he sees an increasing need for people who can bridge the gap between transformation and finance, as well as diverse leaders.

“Digital natives add huge value, but it’s a rare skillset in Private Equity. At Green Park, I work closely with CIO Practice, collaborating with colleagues who have great contacts and experience within the Technology sector. The industry also struggles with diversity, including ethnicity and gender. However, there’s tremendous potential to increase levels of DEI with the right support and networks.”

Some may find such challenges daunting, but for Louis they are energising. With a background in Sales, he relishes the task of working at pace to meet tough targets and deadlines. His achievements include sourcing an APAC Chairman for a FTSE 250 company in just 48 hours by identifying talent creatively and founding, growing and establishing a Board Practice from scratch in his previous role over the course of 6 years. Drive and agility continue to play central roles in his success and career.

Whatever his role, Louis has sought out opportunities to learn, develop and take his skills and knowledge to another level. At Green Park, this trait is clearly visible in Louis’ enthusiasm to bring added value to clients. He plans to host networking opportunities for the Private Equity industry and facilitate the sharing of crucial market insights, acting as a thought leader. Internally, Louis is keen to share his knowledge and mentor more junior colleagues.

Naturally people-focused, Louis has found a home within the Green Park team.

“I like the fact that Green Park has a warm, family feel; there’s a great culture and a lot of collaboration. The people are hugely talented, for example, Dan Richards – a senior colleague but also an experienced Non-Executive Director. Above all, I like Green Park’s value proposition: changing the face of leadership. For me, it’s recruitment for all the right reasons.”
