Jamie brings over 15 years of global Retail & Consumer experience to Green Park having previously worked with world class brands like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and the Selfridges Group. A Canadian national, with dual British citizenship, he has held roles in North America, the UK, and owned remits across Europe, Middle East and Asia. With an extensive background in Talent Acquisition, HR, Executive Search and Business Development, both internally and externally, Jamie is passionate about helping companies create a ‘customer first’ experience that blends the digital and physical.
Before Green Park, Jamie worked for a start-up boutique Digital Transformation consultancy where he pioneered a unique concept called a Digital Talent Pipeline as well as becoming a trusted advisor to his Digital focussed clients. This global product, which is Digital, Customer and Technology in nature, has turned a conventional and reactive executive search process into a forward thinking, proactive and solutions orientated product through an International Talent scouting exercise. The Pipeline allows a business to get ahead of its hiring needs, thereby avoiding lengthy notice periods and recruitment processes that can paralyse a company in the short-term, especially in the Digital space. Jamie is currently the retained provider of Global executive level Digital and Technology Talent for a multi-billion dollar Retail Group with its corporate headquarters in North America.
Previously he spent 7 years at URBN Urban Outfitters Inc., based in London, as the International HR & Business Development Director building the Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People brands globally and hiring and developing the Senior leadership teams for all brands. Within this role he held direct responsibility for 2500 employees, 70 stores across the EU and Asia for all HR, Employment law and Recruitment. Jamie’s role also encompassed Business Development, with a mandate to develop new markets and channels of business throughout EMEA.
Before this Jamie spent 3 years in Toronto working for the Weston family as the Head of Global Recruitment for the Selfridges Group (Selfridges, Brown Thomas, De Bijenkorf & Holt Renfrew). Within this remit, he held responsibility for senior level hiring across the Group and extended this functionality into the wider Weston Group of businesses, including Weston Foods and the private interests of the Family. And he began his Retail career in Executive Search as the Head of Research for a Consultancy in London specialising in the Retail and Luxury market, a role he held for 4.5 years.
