Advisory Board & Chair

Baroness Royall has worked in Parliament, the European Parliament and in the European Commission – both in Brussels and as head of the Commission Office in Wales. In 2004, she was appointed to the House of Lords, where she served in government as a spokesperson on health, foreign affairs and development before being appointed as Chief Whip, then leader and Lord President of the Council. She then served as Leader of the Opposition until transferring her skills to provide strategic advice focusing on leadership and equality.

Jan is Chair of the People’s History Museum and a Trustee of various charities, including City Year and the National Stalking Advisory Service. She is Pro-Chancellor of the University of Bath and a visiting professor at the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College, London.

Jan is also Vice-President of the European Socialist Party and works globally on democracy, human rights and women’s issues. In the Lords, she focuses on equality and diversity, young people, health, education and women.

I have always been passionate about diversity and inclusion but its importance grows daily in this brave new world and I strongly believe we are making a sustainable difference here.
