Baroness Helena Morrissey DBE is known for achieving strong business results while promoting inclusion and diversity of thought. She is the founder of the 30% Club, a campaign for more gender-balanced boards, and Chair of the investment industry’s Diversity Project, aimed at improving diversity across all dimensions in the investment industry, which includes the Talk about Black initiative.
Helena joined the Green Park Board in 2020 as a Non-Executive Director, advising on the firms business and diversity & inclusion strategy. She also supported the launch of the UK's first ever Race Equality Week through Green Park's not-for-profit organisation, Race Equality Matters.
The Lead Non-Executive Director for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Helena Morrissey’s City career spans over thirty years, including 15 years as the Chief Executive of Newton Investment Management and three years as the Chair of the Investment Association from 2014 to 2017.
Helena’s first book, A Good Time to be a Girl, Don’t Lean in, Change the System published by William Collins, was listed by Forbes as one of five most empowering books for women in 2018. She was named Financial Times 2017 Person of the Year at its Boldness in Business Awards. She was made a Dame in 2017 and will join the House of Lords in September 2020. Helena is one of LinkedIn’s ‘Top Voices’.
