Director of Finance and Resources

Woman and Girl's Network, a charity run by women, for women, are looking to appoint a Director of Finance and Resources. This is an exciting opportunity to join a charity with a brilliant mission to support woman and girls who have faced gender-based violence in London. Aligned to the recent growth of Woman and Girls Network, the overall purpose of this role will be to lead on establishing a period of consolidation evolving relevant new strategies, policy, process and practice which give a solid foundation from which the organisation can thrive.
Key Accountabilities:
· Overseeing the development and manage the implementation of financial strategies, controls and procedures, which ensure the effective financial management of the organisation
· Overseeing the development and manage the implementation of HR strategies, policy and practice aligned to the growth of the organisation
· The implementation of new governance structures, policies and practices as agreed by the Trustees in 2022
· To oversee all operational processes including IT, Cyber Security, Data processing, administration, payroll and pension, operational plans and management, statutory compliance and reporting
Areas of Responsibility:

· Strategic Leadership (as a member of the Senior Leadership Team)
Essential Experience:
· Qualified Accountant and/or related finance
· Experience in the not-for-profit or charity sector
· Minimum of 2 years' experience as a senior executive
· Successful track record in leading a finance and HR function of a complex, competitive, customer-focused organization
· Experience leading and managing change
· Proven ability to manage, motivate and inspiring staff teams
· Experience working with voluntary Boards and providing clear financial information for governance oversight
· Experience of partnership working and networking with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
