Capital City College Group (CCCG) is the largest provider of further education in London. Formed following the mergers of three already successful colleges, each with a strong reputation, the Group now has a turnover of £112m, operates across 11 sites, and has a track record of academic success. At a time of unprecedented challenge and change across the further education sector, we have become stronger together and are committed to providing the best opportunities to our 37,000 students, who come from a wide range of backgrounds and communities, and to our 1700 staff.  Put succinctly, our goal is to be the first-choice further education and training provider in the region.

We are now looking for two new Board Members to help steer the Group strategically to deliver that aim.

This is a huge opportunity for anyone wishing to shape an organisation and we welcome interest from bold, creative, commercially-minded individuals. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those with strategic, senior-level experience of further education, commercial training or apprenticeships as well as financially numerate senior HR professionals. We are also interested in candidates with property expertise. CCCG is an organisation which wants to innovate. We want to do things differently and achieve greater impact.

You will be joining an excellent, committed Board – leaders of a large, complex learning community. The role of Board Member requires commitment, while offering a truly rewarding experience in an environment of high expectation, great ambition, and common purpose.  We are keen to exemplify the highest standards of governance as well as to become more reflective of our diverse student population. During this process we will be actively looking to further develop the mix of skills, experience, diversity and independence.  To achieve our goal we will need to ask different questions and provide fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities we face.
