The Client

Our central government client is looking for 2x Lead Accountants for 6 months+ who will be responsible for the successful delivery of core financial accounts on a quarterly basis.

Responsibilities

The interim manager will be responsible for:

  • The preparation of the core financial accounts in accordance with the Treasury’s Finance Reporting Model and all applicable Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Maintaining a clear audit trail of trial balances, post closure journals and audit adjustments. 
  • Managing, preparing or checking all notes and disclosures to the Core accounts, ensuring all such notes and disclosures are compliant with the FReM and IFRS
  • Liaising with FM&C team to ensure the consolidation of non current assets notes and disclosures are complete, and have a clear audit trail. 
  • Candidate will be assessed under 4 competencies, Setting Direction, Delivering Results, Engaging People and Specific Skills and Behaviours:  

The Interim Manager

  • The interim will report to the Financial Accounts Team Leader and line management of 3 direct reports – 2 at M level and one at EO level

The Client
Our client, a small financial services business, are looking to appoint an interim Finance Director/CFO for an initial period of 6 months.

The Interim Assignment
The role is managing a small team of eight, working across finance, HR and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking the business through the standard financial year, managing the team, ensuring compliance demands are met with the regulators and assist with any future investments the business will be embarking on. It will also  be responsible for overseeing all financial year end accounting, regulatory accounting and required reporting.

The Interim Manager
This role is suited to a hands on, qualified FD/CFO with a solid finance and regulatory background who thrives on working in a true entrepreneurial environment. This could be a four day a week role for a highly experienced FD/CFO or a five day a week for a less experienced.

Our client, a leading Telecommunications Company is looking for an interim HR Oracle Fusion Implementation specialist to join them for an initial period of 3 – 6 months as they look to implement and integrate Oracle Fusion across their emerging markets globally as a result of continued success and business transformation. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project management for the HR system integration as well as being the key stakeholder to represent HR with the new system implementation. They need a Commercial Business Analyst to be their New Products Lead providing robust commercial analysis and evaluation for new income generating ideas identified by the Commercial & Innovation Champions. They will then lead the due diligence process of all approved ideas to a measurable business outcome in order to deliver commercial opportunities to the council.

The Interim Manager
This interim will need to:

  • Prepare and support the Commercial and Innovation Champions to present business ideas to the Innovation Panel in a commercial way, clearly defining the markets, competitors and profit opportunity that arise from the ideas.
  • Carryout a deeper commercial analysis of business ideas endorsed by the Innovation Panel for review by the Mayor, providing evidence based financial projections on costs and profit.
  • Conduct due diligence on all approved ideas to determine the best way of realising the potential benefits.
  • Provide options analysis of the best routes to market including acquisitions, partnerships, start-ups etc.
  • Identify the level of investment needed and the forecast ROI.
  • Develop the business case to secure the necessary investment funding.
  • Lead a project team to set the new business up.

The Client
Our client an international charity are looking to hire an Interim Director of Finance for 6 months.

The Interim Assignment
The organisation is circa £16 million turnover and has recently experienced a change in a traditionally stable board including a new Chief Executive and Fundraising Director. The interim Finance Director will be tasked with providing assurance to the board and trustees, manage a small team of 4, improve stakeholder engagement with the wider business and ensuring the budgeting continues in a timely manner. Although the accounts are prepared under SORP, the complexity lies in the fact the organisation is international, has a number of owned, subsidiaries, predominantly fundraises in pounds while and many of its external transactions are in dollars

The Interim Manager
Applicants will be a CCAB qualified accountant and will have a demonstrable experience of acting as a Finance Director in a similar sized organisations. Due to the complexity of the accounts and the international presence of this organisation, applicants will need to have experience of working on accounts across pounds and dollars. A commercial attitude but empathy with a not for profit organisation will also be vital to success in the role
