CSR
Green Park is committed to minimising our impact on the environment, contributing to the community, and abiding by relevant employment and corporate legislation in all of our activities.
Legislation and obligations
We are cognizant and compliant with all International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions and recommendations approved by UK Government, as well as national legislation and industry codes of practice where appropriate.
Plant for placement
Through our relationship with The Woodland Trust, Green Park plants a tree for every interim or permanent placement that we make. The trees, which are planted in Hucking Estate, Kent, represent our commitment to offsetting our carbon emissions.
Green Park’s commitment to the environment
In addition to our ‘Plant for placement’ scheme, we have also made every effort to reduce our work-related carbon emissions. These include:
- Using Green Park’s carbon reduction cars – a G-Wiz and an LPG car - to travel to client meeting and on all city business travel
- Turning computers off when they are not in use.
- Switching off computer monitors during lunch hours, client visits and periods of downtime.
- Using environmentally friendly light bulbs.
- Switching off meeting room, hallway, and bathroom lights when they are not in use.
- Switching off photocopier when not in use.
- Reducing paper usage and recycling all paper and recyclable waste.
- Minimising air conditioner use.
- Calculating and offsetting carbon emissions (Plant for placement)
- Ensuring our own suppliers strive for carbon neutrality.
Green Park in the community
Each Green Park employee has three “Green Days” each year where they can take a working day to volunteer to work with a registered charity or otherwise contribute the community in a positive way.
Each year we take on work experience juniors, targeting under-represented groups.
